Coronavirus in France: The city of Cannes in quarantine as the French Government had unveiled emergency procedures such as avoiding large crowds, pubs, bars and restaurants as authorities race to contain the biggest outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Europe. The evolution of the Coronavirus epidemic in the Alpes-Maritimes and the Paca region
The Alpes-Maritimes have long been the only department to identify proven Covid-19 cases, mainly cases imported from Italy. Today, there are 133.
Since March 9, Bouches-du-Rhône has had the most: 377 on March 19 – the curve that most closely resembles that of the total number of cases in France – its trajectory even follows a slope a slightly stiffer and does not seem to stabilize. Does this mean that 13 would be the most affected department in Paca? Not sure. The Marseille University Hospital Institute is the one with the largest testing capacity in France, and has performed up to 1,500 tests per day in recent days. Children, adolescents, adults with mild symptoms have been tested.
