Diavoli” is the new original series of Sky based on the novel of the same name by Guido Maria Brera, it is made up of ten episodes and is a story of finance and power. Borghi and Dempsey play the protagonists, Massimo Ruggero and Dominic Morgan. Massimo is an Italian who has earned a place in high international finance thanks to the teachings of his mentor, Dominic, CEO of the prestigious New York-London Investment Bank. Soon Massimo finds himself involved in a financial war affecting Europe, and will have to choose whether to ally himself with Dominic or fight him.
The previously announced cast is joined by Kasia Smutniak (it’s Nina Morgan, Dominic’s wife) and Lars Mikkelsen (Daniel Duval, leader of an international organization that publishes secret financial information). In addition to them there are Laia Costa, Malachi Kirby, Paul Chowdhry, Pia Mechler, Harry Michell and Sallie Harmsen.
The director is the British Nick Hurran (former director of some episodes of “Doctor Who” and “Sherlock”) flanked by Jan Michelini of “The Medici”.
Power struggles and ambiguous human relationships animate the Diavoli trailer with Alessandro Borghi and Patrick Dempsey: the drama series set in the world of high international finance arrives from April 17 on Sky Atlantic, in the early evening.
This financial thriller by Sky Original, produced by Sky Italia and Lux Vide with Sky Studios, Orange Studio and OCS was already previewed at the Mipcom in Cannes last autumn in the presence of the two protagonists and is one of the most anticipated titles of this season in the Sky schedule. On April 17 it will have its absolute premiere in Italy, but will be distributed shortly afterwards also by NBCUniversal Global Distribution on behalf of Sky Studios: in the coming months Diavoli will also be broadcast in France and in the other countries of the Sky group ( Photo Luigi Iorio)
