The Crossing: Calvi – Monaco Water bike Challenge
From 12 to 13 September, the Fondation Princesse Charlene announces the new sporting challenge “The Crossing: Calvi-Monaco on water bike.
The goal is not only to reach the Principality of Monaco from Calvi but also to spread the foundation’s activities. Two teams of 4 international athletes will leave the port of Calvi and will alternate at sea for almost 24 hours, over a distance of 180 km. The arrival is scheduled for 13 September at the Yacht Club de Monaco.
Learn to swim programs, to learn to swim and Water Safety, to prevent drowning, have been introduced by the Fondation Princesse Charlene around the world. These programs are aimed in particular at children who are less fortunate or at risk of drowning due to the environment in which they live.
The Foundation’s action is also based on the values of sport, such as discipline and team spirit. The “Sport & Education, to achieve through the values of sport” program is based on sporting activities in order to contribute to the well-being and development of children.
Since the creation of the Princess Charlene Foundation in 2012, more than 730,000 people, especially children, have benefited from these three programs in 34 countries.
