Milan Fashion Week 2020
Milan Fashion Week in September 2020 will be the first real phygital edition of the event. In fact, if due to Covid-19 in July digital contents had prevailed over IRL ones – with only Etro and Dolce & Gabbana to parade with models and live audiences – the new calendar released by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion provides 23 physical fashion shows alternating with 41 online shows. In addition, 61 presentations and 22 events for a total of 159 appointments on the calendar.
From 22 to 28 September 2020, Milan Fashion Week will host five days of live fashion shows on the central days of the event, in an edition dedicated to the new Women’s Spring Summer 2021 collections and, for the first time, also to men’s collections generally in catwalk in January and June. 19 of the shows on the calendar will be co-ed, 4 shows exclusively dedicated to men’s fashion.
Among the brands that are preparing a physical show – with all the necessary precautions – there is once again Dolce & Gabbana which just in July had re-entered the official CNMI calendar after several years of absence.
There is no shortage of the big names of Milan Fashion Week: Alberta Ferretti, Etro, Fendi, Max Mara, Salvatore Ferragamo and Versace, all scheduled with a live show. Live but behind closed doors, Giorgio Armani will bring the show on television for the general public
