Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip 73rd Wedding Anniversary

The Queen and the  Duke of Edinburgh real-life romance. The royal couple, who married at Westminster Abbey in 1947, celebrate their 73rd wedding anniversary on 20 November. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip Pose for a Sweet Portrait to Mark Their 73rd Wedding Anniversary.The photo was taken earlier this week by photographer Chris Jackson in the Oak Room in Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are currently quarantining amid the United Kingdom’s second national lockdown due to a surge in coronavirus cases.

In a new portrait released by Buckingham Palace to mark the occasion, the Queen wears a pale blue double wool crepe dress by royal couturier Stewart Parvin, offset by the Chrysanthemum Brooch, the spectacular sapphire and diamond piece she wore on the couple’s honeymoon at Broadlands in Hampshire more than seven decades ago. The newlyweds spent their days deerstalking at the property owned by the Duke of Edinburgh’s uncle, Lord Mountbatten, before travelling on to Birkhall, the 18th-century hunting lodge  ( Courtsey Photo Buckingam Palace Royal  )
