Valentino Spring Summer 2021 Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2021 CODE TEMPORAL
The rituals, the process, and the values of Couture are timeless. They celebrate the human: the mind that conceives and the hand that creates and gives value. Through a work process that sits above time, they produce timeless objects molded on the individual. The Digital and Handmade Come Together for Valentino Spring/Summer 2021 Haute Couture.Valentino Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli believes the digital and artisanal can coexist and even complement each other. His latest Valentino Haute Couture collection proves his theory. Valentino’s newest collection from Pierpaolo Piccioli juxtaposes the handmade processes of Haute Couture craftsmanship with digital renderings. Unveiled from the Galleria Colonna, Sala Grande in Rome, the Spring/Summer 2021 Haute Couture show, titled Code Temporal, looks at “the mastery of the handmade as timeless code and value,” while simultaneously examining it through 21st century technology. To expand on these ideas, the virtual presentation features a dialogue between the creative director and British artist Robert Del Naja. For the first part of their collaboration, the live streamed runway show features a soundtrack courtesy of Del Naja and his band Massive Attack.
