Paris renews its Digital format for Women’s Fashion Week

The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) has revealed the provisional calendar of the Women’s Fashion Week, scheduled for March 1st to 9th. Due to the pandemic, the Paris week dedicated to collections for autumn / winter 2021-22 will still take place mainly in digital format, apart from some presentations and showrooms, which will take place physically according to the regulations in force. About 93 brands are announced in the program, including fashion shows and presentations, compared to 84 last September, with numerous returns but also several defections.

The official fashion show calendar, which will be concentrated mainly on the Fédération platform through videos, brings together about sixty brands, especially the largest such as Christian Dior, Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Givenchy and Balmain. Other fashion houses, including Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Celine, have chosen to leave the calendar last season; as well as Kenzo, which announced its intention to present its collection on March 26.

Among the highlights of this Fashion Week, the fashion shows of some debutants to the artistic direction of great fashion houses, such as Gabriela Hearst from Chloé, Nicolas De Felice from Courrèges and Matthew Williams, who for the occasion will unveil his first complete collection for men and women for Givenchy. Instead, we will have to wait until next September to discover the first collection by Charles de Vilmorin for Rochas.
