The first Golden Globes in the Covid era will be held on the night between February 28 and March 1 and the ceremony will take place on two opposite poles of the United States. Tina Fey will be in New York live at the Rainbow Room while her friend and Saturday Night Live colleague Amy Pohler will conduct her from Los Angeles from the historic Golden Globe location, the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The Hollywood Foreign Press, which brings together foreign journalists in Hollywood, invited candidates to stay at home and limit the celebrations inside their homes, a bit like what happened with the Emmys in September. Who will be in attendance, however, are the stars who award the prizes, which the Americans call “presenter” and who historically are the winners of last season. The confirmed names of the actors who will award their colleagues are: Awkwafina (The Farewell), Cynthia Erivo (Harriet), Joaquin Phoenix (Joker), Renée Zellweger (Judy) but also Kristen Wiig (new villain in Wonder Woman 84)
