The young singers won the best album (Folklore) and the best single (Everything I wanted) for the most famous Grammy categories. Yet, on Sunday, during a hybrid ceremony, halfway between normality and Coronavirus, there was no light on Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish. Because it was Beyoncé who made history.
Queen B., awarded for best music video with Brown Skin Girl, for best rap performance and best rap song, the Savage sung with Megan Thee Stallion, then for best r’n’b performance with Black Parade, entered by right in the history of the Grammys, the most awarded female artist ever.
Twenty-seven total awards, one less than Beyoncé took home Sunday, writing the history of awards and music. Music that, during the sixty-third edition of the Grammys, also won Megan Thee Stallion, best emerging artist, Harry Styles, best solo performance, and H.E.R., whose I can’t breathe was chosen as song of the year.
